2021 Penn State Commission for Women Annual Awards
March 25 to April 7
Do you know someone who is committed to enacting change or is a valuable mentor?
The Penn State Commission for Women presents two Annual Awards:
2021 3C Award – Commitment, Community, Change
Since 2013, the Penn State Commission for Women’s 3C Award has recognized the significant effort of an individual whose work and volunteer efforts have impacted the advancement of women within, or outside, the university in the areas of commitment, community and change.
- Commitment: demonstrating commitment towards supporting the growth of women through education, mentorship, leadership or opportunity
- Community: addressing the needs of women and girls or promoting female initiatives in the community
- Change: championing change, advocating for and creating impact regarding women’s issues
2021 Mentoring Award
Since 2019, the Penn State Commission for Women Mentoring Award has recognized an individual for their exemplary and effective mentorship through voluntarily mentoring women in order to support them reaching their professional and personal potential. Each year the award is presented to one faculty member and one staff member.
These two awards are open to all Penn State Health and College of Medicine faculty, staff, fellows, trainees and students regardless of gender. Nominators and nominees are not required to be members of the Penn State Commission for Women.
Self-nominations are accepted.
Nominations are due April 7.
The award recipients will be presented with a certificate and monetary reward at the Penn State Commission for Women General Assembly in June 2021.
