Anxiety Workshop for First-Year Students

A little anxiety can provide motivation, but too much can stop someone in their tracks.
This workshop will help students understand the continuum of anxiety. How can you recognize if it is getting in your way? What coping strategies can help? Can you use your anxiety to help with your studying or is it sometimes getting in your way?
This workshop with be led by a panel of College of Medicine support team resources to help students understand anxiety as well as the coping strategies and services available at the College of Medicine to help.
This panel will include Drs. Kelly Holder and Martha Peaslee-Levine from the Office of Student Mental Health and Counseling; Dr. Rhonda Mudry from the Learning Center and Cognitive Skills Program and Ms. Paula Moodie, Student Disability and Inclusion Specialist.
Lunch will be provided; online registration is required.
