Fellowship Awards: Key Ingredients for Success
February 8, 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm
Research Development is offering two special topic workshops to focus on fellowship awards. Fellowship awards provide funds to promising predoctoral and postdoctoral scholars who aspire to become independent research scientists. These prestigious mentored awards can provide financial support (e.g. stipend and tuition), bolster CVs, and build important grant-seeking skills.
This workshop complements and builds upon the foundational knowledge Hanover will share during the January 17 webinar “Savvy Grant Seeking for Trainees.” Participants will be introduced to the variety of resources available at the College of Medicine to support trainees and postdoctoral scholars. A diverse panel of “F” awardees, faculty mentors, and reviewers will talk on a wide range of topics – proposal development, mentoring teams, reference letters, funding sponsor communications, and more! As participants, you will gain valuable insights from colleagues who have lived experience.
Audience Q&A is encouraged. All who register will receive a link to the recording via email within 2-3 days of the workshop.
