Finding Success as an Independent Investigator in Today’s Funding Climate

September 12 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

What does it mean to achieve success as an independent investigator?

For many scientists, a critical stage of their career is the transition from their role as a mentored researcher to being an independently funded scientist responsible for managing and sustaining their own research program.

For this event, Research Development is welcoming Hanover Research, which will present “Finding Success as an Independent Investigator in Today’s Funding Climate.”

During the two-hour presentation, attendees will hear from a diverse panel of early-career investigators at the College of Medicine who will speak to the challenges and opportunities they have experienced as they continue to navigate research career transitions – from mentored K to R and beyond. Q-and-A will be an integral part of this event.

Ice cream will be provided.
