In the Key of D Concert: Great Music Unplugged

September 6, 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm

Join The Doctors Kienle Center for Humanistic Medicine and the Department of Humanities, for an evening of Great Music Unplugged, featuring Migration and Inspiration by the Mendelssohn Piano Trio: Peter Sirotin, violin; Fiona Thompson, cello; Ya-Ting Chang, piano.

The Mendelssohn Piano Trio will explore the powerful impact of migration on art through the work of Ernest Bloch, founder of the Cleveland Institute of Music, and Erich Korngold, creator of the most memorable Hollywood film scores. These two immigrants impacted generations of American composers including John Williams who gave us such iconic scores as “Indiana Jones,” “Star Wars,” and “Harry Potter.”

In the Key of D Concerts feature regional, national and international performers and are provided by The Doctors Kienle Center for Humanistic Medicine at no cost to our health care providers, medical students, faculty and staff plus one.
