Dr. April D. Armstrong, C. McCollister Evarts Professor and Chair of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation, will present her inaugural lecture Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022. The lecture, titled “Have Courage and Be Kind”, will be 4 to 5 p.m. in person at the College of Medicine’s Junker Auditorium and virtually via Zoom.

Armstrong, who has been with Penn State Health since 2003, served previously as vice chair for Clinical Affairs and Quality, associate chief medical officer for outpatient surgical care within Penn State Health Medical Group, and associate designated institutional officer and director of Health Systems Science for Graduate Medical Education for the Graduate Medical Education Office at the College of Medicine. She assumed the role of chair of the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation in July 2021 after serving as interim chair since 2019.
