Inclusion Academy – Culturally Responsive Care: Medical care for Nepalese and Bhutanese patients

Dr. Sanjay Yadav addresses awareness in enhancing medical care services for Nepalis and Bhutanese patients. This webinar will cover cultural differences and similarities in offering medical care to these populations. The following credits have been approved for this webinar session:
1. Awareness of the similarities and differences in providing Culturally Responsive Care to Nepalese and Bhutanese patients
2. Recognize best practices in creating a caring and trusting patient-provider relationship

Dr. Sanjay Yadav completed his medical school from Institute of Medicine Kathmandu, Nepal. He completed his psychiatry residency at Penn State Hershey and fellowship training in consultation-liaison psychiatry at Boston University Medical Center. Sanjay returned to Penn State Hershey in 2015 to join as a faculty at Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. His current clinical services involvement includes inpatient psychiatry consultation at Hershey Medical Center and outpatient psychiatric care of medically ill patients. He is also engaged in medical student psychiatry clerkship and psychiatry residency training. He has strong interest in working with vulnerable populations across US and global communities. Sanjay is currently leading the development of an integrated mental health eco-system in the underserved areas of Nepal.
