Kienle Center StorySlam
May 2, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Penn State Health and College of Medicine employees, families and friends are invited to attend the first Kienle Center StorySlam May 2 from 7-9 p.m. at The Englewood in Hershey. This event is hosted by York County’s 2022 Grand Slam Storyteller Winner and Penn State Health and College of Medicine Photographer Jason Plotkin and sponsored by The Doctors Kienle Center for Humanstic Medicine, Department of Humanities, Penn State College of Medicine.
A StorySlam is a gathering where anyone can take a turn at the microphone and tell a true story (where you are the central character) based on the night’s theme, Who Would Have Thought?. During the show we will pick names from a hat at random, one at a time, and each person called will have five minutes to tell their story. After ten stories have been told, one winner will be declared. Stories are shared with no notes, no props, no music. They are true, speak to the theme, and are less than five to six minutes long.
Do you have a story to share? Sign up at the door. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Dinner and drinks available for purchase before and during the show.
Bring your family and friends and enjoy a night out while you listen to personal stories from our colleagues and friends, and maybe share a story of your own.
Registration appreciated but not mandatory (email aolivera@pennstatehealth.psu.edu); walk-ins are welcome.
