“Shifting Priorities To Create The Beloved Community” an event to honor Martin Luther King, Jr.
January 17, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
This event has components that can be participated in live or virtually.
Live: The Chapel at Hershey Medical Center
The Chapel will be transformed into a Labyrinth of two sets of three (3) stations. Spacing of stations will be social distance compliant. Each station will have a quote from MLK on the “beloved community” for reflection. At the final (4th) station participants will be invited to tell us how they may be able to contribute to Penn State Health becoming a beloved community as well as to “light a candle” virtually in remembrance of Martin Luther King, Jr. All responses will be gathered and placed in a poster format to be displayed throughout Penn State Health. The Labyrinth will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Various MLK pictures and life contributions will be displayed in the Chapel, as well. We will feature soft music throughout the day to contribute to the Labyrinth experience.
