Virtual Event: MD/PhD Program Spring Retreat

The MD/PhD Medical Scientist Training Program will hold its annual spring retreat for current MD/PhD students, training faculty and program leadership, providing a weekend of thoughtful discussion, scientific discovery and research collaboration.
The fully virtual event will take place via Zoom.
- 9:30 a.m.: Directors’ welcome and Zoom etiquette refresher by Maryknoll Palisoc
- 9:45 a.m.: Presentation by Michail Lionakis, MD, ScD, on “Of mice and humans: Host defense against fungi.” Dr. Lionakis is chief of the Fungal Pathogenesis Section and deputy chief of the Laboratory of Clinical Immunology and Microbiology for the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID).

- 10:45 a.m.: Residency presentation (10-minute presentations by Brian Kinsman, Sarah Jefferson and Rich Albertson)

- 11:45 a.m.: Election winners announced by Marty Johnson; closing remarks
