Penn State Health Inclusion Week – June 13-17, 2022
June 13 to June 17
Penn State Health’s Inclusion Week is an opportunity for employees to expand their awareness of other cultures through virtual programs showcasing diversity as a component of health care and healing. These events support Penn State Health’s inclusive approach to caring for our increasingly diverse patient population. Embedded within Inclusion Week this year is Penn State Health’s Day of Understanding on Tuesday, June 14. This day is part of a national initiative to engage in candid conversations to inspire change. The week will end with a celebration of Juneteenth, a holiday celebrating the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States.

Tuesday, June 14 – Penn State Health Day of Understanding
- 8-8:45 a.m.: Understanding the Impact of Critical Race Theory on Diversity and Inclusion Strategies
- Noon-12:45 p.m.: Opportunities and Challenges in Increasing the Diversity of the Clinician Workforce
- 4:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.: Lessons From the Pandemic: The Reality of Health Disparities and Trust in Research and Inclusion
Wednesday, June 15 – Advancing Life Quality

- 5:30-6:15 p.m.: The Power of Music and Movement in Health and Well-Being (this session will also be onsite at multiple locations)
