Penn State Health Inclusion Week: Kienle Ripple Effect Art Workshop – Live and Virtual
June 13, 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm
Research reveals that diversity and inclusion leads to greater productivity, innovation and a sense of belonging. What we learned from the Diversity Ripple Effect program from the Kienle Center is that exploring strategies and ideas to advance diversity and inclusion in creative ways can be an effective tool for improving the workplace and patient care. During this session, guests will be invited to an art workshop for all abilities in which we will paint rocks to reflect a ripple effect to promote diversity. Use the pebble as a reminder of the ripple effect impact you can make daily in your workplace environment.
This session is being held at Hampden Medical Center and being streamed virtually via Zoom. Upon registration you will be asked to provide information if you are participating from home. RSVP by May 26 in order to have your paint kit shipped to you in time. If you are participating in person, more information will be provided upon registration.
All participants will need:
- A small rock (smooth surface, 3 to 5 inches across)
- Small art kit with paint, including black and white (free kit provided by Penn State Health to those who RSVP by Thursday, May 26, while supplies last)
- Various small round-ended household items; for instance, toothpick, Chapstick cap, eraser on the end of pencils, cotton swabs.
