This Penn State Project ECHO series for health care providers will focus on using a set of four evidence-based elements of high-quality care, known as the 4Ms, when providing care to all older adults.

These sessions include a brief lecture and patient case presentation and discussions. Sessions are held every third Wednesday via Zoom on the following schedule, with topics subject to change:

  • Jan. 23, 2020: Introduction to the 4Ms
  • Feb. 12, 2020: What Matters: Care preferences
  • March 4, 2020: What Matters: End-of-life care
  • April 15, 2020: Medication: Opioid use
  • May 13, 2020: Mentation: Cognition
  • May 27, 2020: Mentation: Depression
  • June 17, 2020: Mobility: Maintain focus
  • July 8, 2020: Mobility: Reduce falls
  • July 29, 2020: Overview of the 4Ms
