This Penn State Project ECHO series is designed to equip primary care providers and pediatricians with strategies to address adolescent alcohol and substance use through the training and delivery of steps collectively referred to as the screening, brief intervention and referral to treatment (SBIRT) technique. Together, content experts and community providers collaborate to discuss patient cases and develop recommendations for care.
This educational series launched on January 13, 2022, and will include 11 one-hour CME-eligible sessions, held every other Thursday. A 15-minute flash talk on a topic related to adolescent alcohol and substance use will be given in the last 15 minutes of each session.
