QED Proof-of-Concept Program Lunch and Learn
February 14 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
The QED Proof-of-Concept Program will provide up to $200,000 in funding and more for researchers developing medical and life science technology with high commercial potential and has an open call for white papers.
During the event, participants can have lunch, which is provided, and learn more about the 2020 QED Program. QED provides key resources to facilitate the commercial development of early-stage technologies, including customized business mentorship, preparation of a funding plan, exposure to investors and industry representatives and access to regulatory and legal specialists.
At the completion of the program, up to four selected academic research teams will be awarded one-year support of up to $200,000 each.
Health care and life sciences areas of interest include (but are not limited to) therapeutics, medical devices, in vitro diagnostics, biomaterials, vaccines and other processes and products created to solve a health problem and improve quality of life.
Technologies can be at any stage of development (ideation, pre-clinical or clinical), but should have applied for patent protection via the Center for Medical Innovation at Penn State College of Medicine or the University Office of Technology Management.

Early submission of white papers, which allows for feedback, is April 9. Final deadline for applications is April 30.
