Webinar: Racism in Medicine – A Discussion on Health Care Disparities
October 27, 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm
The Penn State Health chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society is holding its 2020-2021 medical student capstone event, “Racism in Medicine: A Discussion on Health Care Disparities.”
The event is designed to stimulate a student-led discussion regarding racism in medicine and its resulting consequences. Those who participate are reminded to uphold respectful dialogue and to understand that the discussion will engage in sensitive, but important, topics. It is open to all faculty, staff and learners at Penn State College of Medicine and Penn State Health.
Two TED Talks will be presented at the beginning of the event, followed by medical student-moderated discussions in breakout rooms.
