Rethinking Care: Health Humanities and the Pandemic

October 5, 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm

The Penn State Humanities Institute and WITF will air HumIn Focus Episode 4, Rethinking Care: Health Humanities and the Pandemic on Oct. 5 at 7:30 p.m.

The COVID-19 pandemic has provided a stress test for the American healthcare system. “Rethinking Care” views healthcare through the lens of the humanities, focusing on ways to repair some of the inequities of the system and to provide better care for healthcare workers and patients alike.

HumIn Focus is an educational web series that asks Humanities scholars to reflect on the ideas lying behind pressing social issues.

For more information, email John Christman, Director of the Humanities Institute at Penn State University, at: jpc11@psu.edu
