Safe Sitter Essentials

Penn State Health Pediatric Injury Prevention Program

Designed to prepare kids, ages 12 to 15, to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings or babysitting.

This instructor-led class is filled with fun games and role-playing exercises. Students will also use manikins to practice rescue techniques such as choking rescue.

Who Can Attend?

  • Designed for students 12-15 years old
  • Students must be 12 years old by Feb. 17

Important Notes:

  • This course does NOT provide CPR certification
  • Students must bring drinks, snacks and a lunch

Registration

Class Fee: $25 check or money order (payable to Penn State University), due the morning of the class at registration
