Story Slam in Lancaster

October 17, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Penn State Health and College of Medicine employees, your families, and friends are invited to attend the second Kienle Center StorySlam, this time in Lancaster. StorySlams are gatherings where anyone can take a turn at the microphone and tell a true story based on the night’s theme, “Uh-Oh”. During the show we will pick names from a hat at random, one at a time, and each person called will have five minutes to tell their story.  Three judges are chosen from the audience and each storyteller is given scores based on content and presentation. Stories are shared with no notes, no props, no music. They are true, speak to the theme, and are five to six minutes long.

The event takes place Tuesday, Oct 17 at 70 p.m. (Doors open at 6 p.m.) at Tellus 360, 24 E. King Street, Lancaster, and is hosted by York County’s 2022 Grand Slam Storyteller winner and Penn State Health and College of Medicine photographer Jason Plotkin.

Bring your family and friends and enjoy a night out while you listen to personal stories from our colleagues and friends, and maybe share a story of your own.

Dinner and drinks are available for purchase and served before and during the show.

Register to attend by emailing aolivera@pennstatehealth.psu.edu. Walk-ins welcome.
