SurviveWELL: Learning to Care for Yourself after a Breast Cancer Diagnosis

October 19, 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Join us for an informative webinar led by Michael Hayes, PhD, program director of the CARE Center at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Hayes specializes in adult psychology and psychiatry. As part of his role at the CARE Center, he coordinates our SurviveWELL Program, which focuses on the mental health of patients diagnosed with cancer.

In this session, Dr. Hayes will provide an overview of our program which includes techniques that help patients cope – mentally and physically – when faced with a diagnosis of breast cancer. The SurviveWELL Program is dedicated to caring for the whole person, which involves looking beyond the cancer diagnosis to appreciate what else may be needed over the course of treatment and beyond.

The session includes testimonials from past patients who’ve benefited from the SurviveWELL Program.
