The Penn State Health 22-Day Inclusion Challenge – June 28: Being Audacious in Our Commitment to Inclusion

June 28

The Penn State Health 22-Day Inclusion Challenge
WEEK 5 – Theme: The Road to Upstanding

June 28: Being Audacious in Our Commitment to Inclusion

Creating an environment that is respectful, inclusivecompassionate and free from bias and discrimination will require that we grow in our ability to recognize and intervene when there are actions or behaviors that are inconsistent with our RITE values and our commitment to compassion. This requires being an authentic ally or what we referred to as an upstander. Here are resources to understand how to do this effectively so that you can fully contribute to the success of our organization.

Activity:  Melinda Epler shares strategies for how you can become an authentic ally. Watch her TED Talk entitled, “3 ways to be a better ally in the workplace,” here

Please note: Some links may not be accessible on clinical workstations. Employees can view them on a nonclinical workstation or their personal device.
