Penn State Center for Medical Innovation is offering researchers an opportunity to learn what it takes to move an innovation beyond the lab or clinic with the I-Corps@NCATS Regional Short Course.
The virtual series will take place from Nov. 2 through Dec. 7, with four-hour sessions held once a week.
The I-Corps@NCATS Regional Short Course offers a methodology to identify the commercial potential of technology. During the course, teams of participating researchers will learn how to explore product-market fit, talk to customers, gain insight from experienced business leaders and build a business case for translation of their science. The NIH-designed I-Corps curriculum provides a real-world, hands-on, immersive learning experience in how to transform innovations into successful products and services.
The fall 2020 cohort will be led by national I-Corps trainer Julie Collins of the National Science Foundation and members of the Center for Medical Innovation team.
