October 21, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

One event on October 22, 2020 at 8:00 am

Penn State’s Institute of Computational and Data Sciences will hold its two-day 2020 Symposium online, featuring an interdisciplinary group of speakers and experts who will focus on both the challenges — and opportunities — of big data and data science.

Registration is required Because the symposium was rescheduled due to the pandemic, those who registered for the spring 2020 event will need to re-register to attend the upcoming event.

Topics will include two keynotes – “ZettaScale Computing on Exascale Platforms” and “The Landscape of Data Science: Basic Research to Impact” – as well as panel discussions on big data, agriculture and food supply; artificial intelligence and machine learning in manufacturing; social engineering with data; and data and genetics/DNA.
