Visualization Best Practices
February 19 at 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Visualizing is a concise and powerful tool for conveying ideas and data to an audience. In this software-agnostic Harrell Health Sciences Library session, library staff will provide some best practices of data visualization. This includes tidying and formatting data for visualization; identifying the best visualization for particular data or ideas; and common mistakes to avoid in creating a visualization.
Participants will be to:
- recall best practices around data preparation for visualization;
- construct a visualization that best matches the data being communicated; and
- appraise other visualizations for distortion and bias.
Registration is required for the free workshop.
