Webinar: 2021 K Grants Workshop Series
March 9, 7:30 am to 9:30 am
An event every week that begins at 7:30 am on Tuesday, repeating until March 30, 2021
The annual K Grants Workshop Series is a four-session event designed to demystify mentored career development awards and uses the NIH’s mentored K – arguably the most rigorous of mentored career development awards – as a model.
The program is recommended for anyone giving serious consideration to a mentored career award. Those who attend can learn how a mentored award can support their research trajectory and will gain insights on how to craft a competitive proposal for a variety of funding sponsors.
What is a mentored K award? Mentored K awards are meant to prepare the next generation of investigators for careers in research. These awards provide support and protected time (typically 3-5 years) for an intensive, supervised career development experience that leads to research independence.
Who should attend? Presentation content is geared toward early career faculty and postdoctoral fellows at the College of Medicine who are interested in careers that include research. All are welcome.
Registration is required, with a Zoom link to be provided to registered participants in advance of the event.
