Webinar: Anxiety and Tools to Cope (for first-year medical students)
August 14, 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm
This session will be focused on helping first-year medical students learn ways to cope with anxiety.
A little anxiety can be motivational, but too much can stop someone in their tracks. This workshop will help students understand the continuum of anxiety. How can students recognize if it is getting in their way? What coping strategies can help? Can anxiety be useful to help with studying or is it sometimes getting in the way?
This workshop will be led by a panel of support team members including Dr. Kelly Holder and Dr. Martha Peaslee-Levine from the Office for Professional Mental Health; Dr. Rhonda Mudry from the Learning Center and Cognitive Skills Program; and Ms. Paula Moodie, Student Disability and Inclusion Specialist at the College of Medicine.
