Inclusion Week 2021, sponsored by the Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, is a weeklong celebration featuring events that aim to support and foster diversity and inclusion at Penn State Health, Penn State College of Medicine, and the communities those organizations serve. During this session, Calvin Pearson, Founder of Project 1619 Inc., will discuss the history of Project 1619, address the myths and challenges concerning the NY Times 1619 Project, and give us an insight on the history of the first Africans in English North America and their quest for freedom.
