May 5, 7:30 am to 9:30 am
An event every week that begins at 7:30 am on Thursday, repeating until May 5, 2022
Research Development is pleased to announce that registration is open for the College of Medicine’s annual K Grants Workshop Series. The workshop series demystifies the NIH “K” award – a mentored research award that provides support and protected time (3-5 years) for an intensive, supervised career development experience that leads to research independence. Attend this workshop series and get the tools you need to craft a proposal that can be competitive with a variety of external sponsors. Presented by seasoned investigators and faculty mentors. Welcome remarks will be delivered by Leslie Parent, MD, Vice Dean for Research and Graduate Studies.
Who Should Attend? The workshop content is geared toward early career faculty and post-doctoral fellows at the College of Medicine interested in careers that include research. All are welcome.
What is the Format? This series will be offered as a live webinar via Penn State University’s Zoom platform. Each session builds upon material from the previous session. Audience Q&A is strongly encouraged.
Is Registration Required? Yes! Your registration will automatically enroll you in all four (4) sessions. If you are interested, but your busy schedule means that you may miss a session or two, please register! We will inform you of what you missed and share workshop materials after each session.
