The Alzheimer’s Association, in partnership with the Coalition for Aging LGBT, is offering a free webinar on LGBTQ older adults and dementia.

Age is the greatest risk factor for Alzheimer’s disease, and there are an estimated 2.7 million LGBTQ people that are older than 50. This number is only expected to increase as a larger portion of the nation’s population grows older. Additionally, LGBTQ adults living with dementia may face a particularly challenging set of circumstances in terms of accessing support.

The presentation is designed to help those attending know how best to support this population.
