Webinar: Network of Underrepresented Residents and Fellows Holiday Celebration
December 16, 2020, 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Penn State College of Medicine’s Network of Underrepresented Residents and Fellows (NURF) is a network of diverse residents and fellows representing all specialties.
NURF is sponsored by the College of Medicine’s Office of Graduate Medical Education Office and the Penn State Health and College of Medicine Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
To celebrate the festive season, NURF will be hosting its annual inclusive holiday celebration around foods that are meaningful to the residents and fellows’ cultural heritage during this festive time but that can be unfamiliar to others, with the intention to find connections and common ground.
This virtual celebration will be a space for residents and fellows to share their holiday traditions and foods that are significant to them and their families.
This event is open to NURF members and to residents and fellows who wish to join the network.
Registration is required, and additional event details will be provided to those who register.
“You learn a lot about someone when you share a meal together…Food is everything we are. It’s an extension of nationalist feeling, ethnic feeling, your personal history, your province, your region, your tribe, your grandma. It’s inseparable from those from the get-go.”
