Extracellular Vesicle Consortium to host Vanderbilt’s Dr. Alissa Weaver

Penn State Extracellular Vesicle Consortium’s monthly seminar series provides a platform to present and discuss research regarding extracellular vesicles. This series is co-directed by Jeffrey Sundstrom, MD, PhD, and Stephanie Grillo, PhD.

The regular format consists of two 20-minute talks with 10 minutes of questions after each. The event takes place the third Wednesday of each month via Zoom. Special seminars have a 45-minute talk with 15 minutes of questions.

The session at 1 p.m. Dec. 16, 2020, will feature the group’s first external speaker, Alissa Weaver, MD, PhD, Professor of Cell and Developmental Biology and Director of the Vanderbilt Program for Extracellular Vesicle Research at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Dr. Weaver will speak on “Functions of exosomes in cell migration and synapse formation.”
