Agreement with Penn State Hershey Medical Center to expand oncology services at two hospitals
Penn State Hershey Medical Center, Lancaster Regional and Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Centers have entered into an agreement that will offer Lancaster County residents expanded oncology services and expertise and increased access to the latest cancer research, keeping them close to home.
Under the agreement, Lancaster Regional and Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center's Regional Center for Cancer Care patients benefit from the expertise of the medical and surgical specialists and subspecialists of Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute. Patients also gain access to clinical research study programs without having to travel far from their homes. Penn State Hershey will provide training and oversight as Lancaster Regional and Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Centers assemble a team of research professionals to conduct clinical trials.
