Grant to fund research into cancer-fighting technology

Penn State College of Medicine has received a $1 million grant from the PA Department of Health’s CURE program. At the acceptance of this grant, Dr. Mark Kester explains how the use of nano-technology and the advancement of personalized medicine may lead to better cancer-fighting therapies. Kester’s research that was funded involves breast cancer and targeting a specific mutated protein found in the cancer cells.
