Tumor-fighting research at Penn State Hershey

Wafik El-Deiry,MD, PhD, discusses his laboratory research into a cancer treatment compound called TIC10, the first-in-its class drug. This compound emulates the production of a tumor-fighting portein in the body, stimulating healthy cells to fight the cancer as well. More research needs to be completed before clinical testing can be considered.
