College of Medicine grad students take oath
Incoming Penn State College of Medicine graduate students pursuing MS and PhD degrees participated in the annual Graduate Student Oath Ceremony on August 23 on the Hershey campus.
During the ceremony, first-year graduate students took an oath to uphold the values of integrity, professionalism, and scholarship throughout their academic careers. Symbolic of their initiation into the community of biomedical scientists, the 34 first-year Ph.D. students received white lab coats, and the 28 Master’s students each received a gift. A welcome picnic was held immediately following the ceremony.
