Hershey Bears make holiday visit to the Children's Hospital
The Hershey Bears traded in their hockey sticks for markers, glue and other craft supplies in a visit to brighten the holidays for some of their youngest fans.
Players Chris Brown, Dane Byers, Mike Moore and Garrett Mitchell, along with Head Coach Troy Mann, Assistant Coach Bryan Helmer and Coco, the team mascot, visited with children at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital this week.
“For us, it means a lot just to give back,” Mitchell said. “When we can come in and make the day a little better for these kids, it makes a world of difference.”
The players worked with the children on arts and crafts, handed out gifts and signed autographs.
