Service honors those who donated their bodies for medical education and research

A service of commemoration and gratitude in recognition of those who have given the gift of donating their bodies to medical education and research was held on Monday, April 27, at the Hershey Cemetery.

The service was planned by the Penn State College of Medicine medical students who benefit from the body donations and was moderated by first-year class officers. The service featured poems and special readings, student reflections and music. Family members of the individuals who donated their bodies were in attendance and offered their reflections, as well.
