255 degrees conferred at College of Medicine graduation
Penn State College of Medicine held its 46th annual commencement ceremony on May 15, 2016. This year, 144 medical students and 81 graduate students received degrees, as did 30 physician assistants, representing the first graduating class in the College’s new PA program.
The ceremony took place at Founders Hall on the campus of the Milton Hershey School. Dr. Karen B. DeSalvo, acting assistant secretary for health and national coordinator for health information technology at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, delivered the commencement address.
Remarks were also delivered by three graduates: Jonathan A. Hilton, medical student class representative; Allison S. Cleary, graduate student class representative; and Daniel P. Champigny, physician assistant student class representative.
