Hockey players and Coco spread cheer at Children's Hospital
Although they play hard on the ice, six members of the Hershey Bears were all smiles in a visit this week with children and their families at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital.
Riley Barber, Madison Bowey, Liam O'Brien, Zach Sanford, Tyler Lewington, Aaron Ness and Coco, the team mascot, signed autographs and posed for photos. The players also worked on crafts with patients and their siblings.
“These kids are facing adversity and it feels great for us to be able to come in here and put smiles on their faces,” O'Brien said.
The visit was one of several that Bears players typically make to the Children's Hospital each season.
“It's really moving for us to be able to meet these kids and see how they see the world,” Sanford said.
