A special thank you to THON, from Penn State Health Children’s Hospital
Dr. Craig Hillemeier issued the following message upon the conclusion of THON 2018.
Dear Colleagues,
I am delighted to share the great news that Penn State students raised an incredible $10,151,663 for Four Diamonds at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital during THON 2018 this past weekend.
Their generosity ensures that nearly 600 of our youngest patients who have been diagnosed with cancer can receive the most advanced care at our Children's Hospital at no cost to their families. This year's theme was “Discovering Tomorrow's Wonder” and the scientists, clinical researchers and specialty care providers at our Four Diamonds Pediatric Cancer Research Center – also fueled by THON – do just that as they strive to better understand, treat and cure pediatric cancers.
Thank you to all who played a role in the success of THON activities this past weekend, and to the doctors, nurses, specialty care providers, researchers and staff who every day deliver the Four Diamonds mission to our young patients who are fighting cancer.
All of us working together are discovering tomorrow's wonder. Thank you.
For The Kids,
A. Craig Hillemeier, M.D.
Dean, CEO and Senior Vice President for Health Affairs
