Giving is always in fashion: Event raises record amount for CMN
The 11th annual Neiman Marcus Runway Show and Luncheon on Nov. 30 raised a record-breaking $140,000 for Children’s Miracle Network at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital. The funds benefit the Hummingbird Program, which supports children with complex, life-limiting medical conditions.
This year’s event at Hotel Hershey featured fashion trends such as leather, animal prints, peacock hues and sequins. Jeanne Arnold, event chair and Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center board member, was a featured speaker. Danielle Bills shared the story of her son, Clifford, a Hummingbird patient who spent three years in the Children’s Hospital being treated for severe lung disease.
“The Hummingbird Program not only has their knowledge to offer, but they offer support, hope and reassurance,” Bills said. “I’m grateful for the entire team and don’t know how this journey would have been if it weren’t for them.”
Since its inaugural event, the Neiman Marcus Fashion Show has raised $932,000 to support the Hummingbird Program thanks to the generosity of the Arnolds, sponsors and guests.
