Hyundai Hope on Wheels bolsters pediatric cancer research at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital
Hyundai Hope on Wheels presented a $300,000 Hyundai Scholar Hope grant to Penn State Children’s Hospital and Four Diamonds researcher Dr. Sinisa Dovat. The Children’s Hospital is one of 52 recipients across the country.
The Scholar Hope grant was presented during a handprint ceremony that honored children in treatment for pediatric cancer by including their handprints on a white canvas.
“For 21 years, Hyundai and its dealers have partnered with medical doctor research teams from the top hospitals and institutions from around the country in a quest to finally beat this disease,” says Scott Fink, Board Chair and Hyundai dealer owner, Hyundai of New Port Richey. “Hyundai’s contributions have helped to significantly improve childhood cancer cure rates to more than 80 percent. This is why every minute is precious and every second matters in the fight against pediatric cancer.”
Since 2011, the Children’s Hospital has received $2 million in total grants from Hyundai Hope on Wheels.
