Financial Counseling moves to new Hershey Medical Center location

Hershey Medical Center Financial Counseling has moved from its office in the Academic Support Building to inside the medical center. Financial counselors are available to meet with patients in person by appointment in a private office setting.

Located in H1005 and H1006 in Hershey Medical Center near the surgical outpatient waiting area and the gift shop, the Financial Counseling office is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Counselors can discuss insurance coverage or questions patients may have about their medical bills.

They can also help uninsured or underinsured patients gain access to third-party insurance coverage such as Medicaid or Medicare as well as the health insurance marketplace. Counselors will work with patients to see if they are eligible for financial assistance.

Patients and families who want to schedule an appointment with a financial counselor should call 717-531-1740. Spanish-speaking representatives are also available by phone or in person.
