Weis Markets giving campaign benefits Penn State Health Children’s Hospital
Weis Markets has committed $61,000 to Penn State Health Children’s Hospital to support expert medical care for children in local communities. Funds were generated through customer round-up donations at checkouts in December and a corporate contribution.
“The generosity of Weis Markets and its customers helps make it possible for us to provide vital medical care when kids and their families need us most,” said Jess Kiely, director of corporate and foundation relations for Penn State Health. “Penn State Health Children’s Hospital is grateful to be a part of Weis Markets’ giving campaign.”
The Children’s Hospital is one of several beneficiaries of Weis Markets’ campaign for children’s hospitals and pediatric cancer foundations throughout the company’s seven-state market area.
“Children’s hospitals are on the front lines of care for some of the most vulnerable members of our communities, and many of our associates and customers have been impacted by their lifesaving services,” said Maria Rizzo, vice president of marketing and advertising at Weis Markets. “We are proud to partner with our customers to support the good work that organizations like Penn State Health Children’s Hospital do throughout our market area.”
