Health system receives several Get With The Guidelines and Mission: Lifeline awards for proven dedication to best practices and life-saving care

The American Heart Association has honored Penn State Health’s hospitals with a series of prestigious awards, acknowledging their dedication to implementing the latest research-based guidelines for the treatment of heart disease and stroke. These accolades highlight the hospitals’ commitment to saving lives, reducing recovery times and minimizing hospital readmissions.

Heart disease and stroke are two of the leading causes of death in the United States, with someone experiencing a stroke or heart attack every 40 seconds. Studies have consistently shown that patients have better recovery outcomes when health care providers consistently adhere to treatment guidelines.

Penn State Health’s hospitals have been recognized for their exceptional patient care and outcomes, qualifying them for the esteemed Get With The Guidelines® and Mission: Lifeline awards. The following is a comprehensive list of the awards received by each hospital:
