Penn State Health welcomes 2025 New Year’s babies

Penn State Health Labor and Delivery units across central Pennsylvania celebrated the new year by welcoming the first babies of 2025.

Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center’s first baby of the new year was Diya Neopane, born at 3:03 a.m. to Yashoda Adhikari and Charlie Neopane of Mechanicsburg. Diya weighs 5 pounds, 14 ounces and measures 18 inches long.

At Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, parents Tiana Edwards and Luis Figueroa of Lancaster welcomed Esias Raye Figueroa among the first babies of 2025. Esias weighed in at 4 pounds, 15 ounces and measured 18 inches long.

At Penn State Lancaster Medical Center, baby girl Riley Rapp was born at 8:08 a.m. on Jan. 3 to Brittany Poole and Robert Rapp of Mount Joy. She weighs in at 6 pounds, 15 ounces and measures 18 3/4 inches.
