Penn State Health welcomes 2026 New Year’s babies

Penn State Health Labor and Delivery units across central Pennsylvania celebrated the new year by welcoming the first babies of 2026.

Angelica Perez and Durhian Johnson of York celebrated the birth of Ahnalys Alani Johnson at 12:08 a.m. on January 1, 2026.

At Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Ahnalys Alani Johnson entered the world at 12:08 a.m., weighing 5 pounds, 10 ounces and measuring 19 inches long. Proud parents Angelica Perez and Durhian Johnson of York celebrated the special start to 2026.

Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center’s first baby of the new year was Khaza Roque-Dykes, born at 12:51 a.m. to Drew Roque and Mark Dykes of Harrisburg. Khaza weighs 8 pounds, 8 ounces and measures 20.5 inches long.

The first baby of the new year at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center was Eithan Pinales-Jorge, who was born at 3:28 p.m. to proud parents Angela Jorge-Palacio and Zoilo Pinales, of Reading. Eithan weighs in at 6 pounds, 3 ounces and measures 19.5 inches long.

At Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center, the first baby of the new year was Ay’lanie Martinez, who was born at 12:41 a.m. on Jan. 7 to Aziyah Sanchez and Jaidyn Martinez of Lancaster. She weighed in at 5 pounds, 15 ounces and measures 18.5 inches long.
