Please join the Penn State Commission for Women in-person for our annual General Assembly! This is a perfect opportunity to meet others within the Commission for Women and explore what we are all about! We will be gathering at the University Conference Center on the College of Medicine campus in Hershey. Lunch will be provided.

In addition to the keynote speaker, the event will provide PSCFW organizational updates, highlight recent award recipients and present an opportunity for nominations for open committee positions.

This event is open to all staff, faculty and students, regardless of gender.

Cynthia Figueroa, executive director of JEVS Human Services in Philadelphia

Cynthia Figueroa is a highly accomplished executive leader who builds high-performing, diverse teams, and develops outcome-based programs and services. She is also a creative problem-solver, a staunch advocate for creating equitable systems and a transformative thought-leader.

As the President and CEO of JEVS, Cynthia leads nearly 2,000 employees who provide a network of services focused on career and technical education, workforce development, home care and human services to 16,000 individuals annually.

She previously served as Deputy Mayor for the City of Philadelphia and Commissioner of the Philadelphia Department of Human Services, spearheading initiatives to improve children and family serving systems and address institutional racism focused on police reform, community engagement and economic inclusion. Throughout her career, Cynthia has remained committed to efforts to improve communities, exemplified by her previous leadership positions with the City of Philadelphia, Congreso de Latinos Unidos and Women Against Abuse.
