March 31, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm
The Penn State CTSI Community Engagement Team invites you to join us for an educational workshop, “Engaging Young Voices: Innovative Approaches to Research with Children,” focused on conducting research with children.
We are pleased to welcome Emily Hohman, PhD and Deepa Sekhar, MD, MSc, as guest presenters for this session. Dr. Hohman is a faculty member and researcher with the Penn State College of Health and Human Development’s Childhood Research Center. Her research focuses on understanding the biological, behavioral, and social processes that influence children’s eating behavior. Dr. Sekhar serves as Executive Director of Penn State PRO Wellness, a Department of Pediatrics initiative that leads diverse community-focused research and educational programs. She will share her expertise regarding the Adolescent Health Network, a program designed to engage teens in the research lifecycle.
