Free Hernia Screenings – Lancaster

September 19, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Over 5 million people in the U.S. have hernias each year. Hernias happen when part of an internal organ of tissue bulges through a weak area of muscle. Symptoms are nausea, groin pain or a bulge in the abdomen or groin area. While millions of people have hernias, only about 15% get medical treatment.

Dr. David Ross, Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center, will conduct free 15-minute, private hernia screenings and explain your treatment options if necessary. If surgery is recommended, patients will be offered a standard appointment as the next step.

Dr. Ross is a general surgeon with expertise in robotic hernia repair. This surgical approach offers less pain and faster recovery time.
